Good Start to 2026
It has been a good start to the year for some of our competing club members …
Dan Petrie finished with 1st in class and 8th overall on the ME Rallysport Showground Stages (organised by Newtown & Distract Motor Club) on the 17th January 2026, with Ryan Taylor on the maps.
“After a spin & getting stuck on SS1 & dropping 30 seconds, we didn’t think a top 10 was possible. So we pushed on & managed to get back to 8th overall & 1st in class.
Awesome day with Ryan in the nav seat, a big thanks to the service boys for keeping the car going after a few teething issues. Also thanks to mother for the 2 new tyres.”
A victory win for Kieran Price on the Cambrian Road Rally (organised by Tregaron Motor Club) on the 24th/25th January 2026 with Stefan DR Davies providing the driving skills.
The centre of Storm Ingrid was passing over the area as cars lined up for the test, this produced heavy lashing rain, which was to persist throughout the first half of the rally; this led to extremely slippery conditions throughout.
The final time control saw everyone lose time, with Davies/Price extending their lead by a further six seconds, meaning that they came home with a 27 second victory margin over Hughes Jones/Williams.
