Navscatter & Quo Training Night

  • Belle Vue Hotel Llanwrtyd Wells, Wales, LD5 United Kingdom (map)

Top turnout for Training Night

It was an excellent turnout for our first event of the year, with seven crews taking part in the navscatter training night.

Each crew was given help and advice to plot their own mini navscatter route. The aim was to find 9 out of 12 clues, all located within 16 miles of Llanwrtyd Wells.

First back to the finish were Gerwyn Jones and his grandson Gethin, who won the novice award.

In a close second place and winning the beginner award were Chris Coleman and Rhodri Williams.

There were two crews in joint third place, Kane Roberts and Callum Morris, and Paul Jenkins and Sean Vale, with Sean taking home the award for the mentor class.

Well done to everyone who came along and had a go! We hope to see you at more of our navscatter events throughout the year.

Quo Training

Need to brush up on your digital mapping skills?

During the night we will also be holding a training session on Quo, a digital mapping software.

Our Quo experts will demonstrate how to map and edit a route on OS maps - a useful skill for organising many motorsport events, including navscatters, tours and road rallies.

This session will be especially useful for Club members who are organising events in this year’s navscatter championship, to be able to submit your routes to the RLO in the preferred digital format.

Please come along to learn and share top tips!
