Navscatter Championship Autumn Round-up

The navscatter championship reconvened after the summer break at the start of October, with some calendar re-organising resulting in two events held in two weeks.

Starting with round four which was organised by Ryan Davies and Natalie Plant, starting from Cilmery with six crews taking part.

Then a fortnight later round five was held from Cradoc, which was organised by Mark Weller, with a disappointing low entry of four crews.

The championship points have been updated ahead of the final round in December.

The expert driver class has already been decided with Brian Jones unbeatable on maximum points. Whereas in the expert navigator class, the final round will be the championship decider with Michael Hardwick just two points ahead of Ceri Davies.

In the novice classes, Andy Vale has a good lead in the novice driver class by nine points ahead of Kyle Davies, while daughter Chloe Vale has already secured the novice navigator championship.

With numbers of entries decreasing during the year, it would be good to see members make an effort to take part in the final round. It takes a lot of time and effort to organise these events and if members are not entering then we will have to think about future plans for the championship to make it sustainable.

Round six takes place on Thursday 11 December, which is being organised by Kieran Price and Alis Davies, starting in the Llandovery area (location TBC).

If you know of anyone who would like to have a go, learn how to navigate or just be part of a friendly club, then please encourage them to come along!
