Nav scatter results

The fourth round of the navscatter championship took place last thursday at The Fountain, Builth Wells using map 147.

Great to seen 8 crews start with 2 crews
from Cwmbran & Abergavenny areas.

Crews were faced with a run out to a lay by at Cwmbach were the route
was handed out at 8.45 , first to leave in a cloud of exhaust smoke was
Chris and Kate, they went a different way to what we set out, but its a
scatter so be it, unbeknown to us they had not discovered the first
page of references and clues and only plotted out the second page, they got
back to Builth and were talking about how quick and easy the route was
when oh my god they discovered page 1, it was stapled to page 2, so off
they roared to do the clues on page one.

The experts Jon Hawkins and Ceri Davies had old maps which are 4 years
out of date, not showing the new road to Newbridge, should have known

First on the road was Ryan & Jordon and the reason they did not
hand in the time cards was because Jordon left his tea all over the
card and maps, we have all been there at some time.

Other than that at the Fountain finish everybody returned to report a great
nights sport with good well seen clues and a good thrash. Tables turned this time,
Father beat Daughter. and a newcomer beat the so called Epynt experts on their
own patch.

On Friday 27th February Epynt Motor Clubs two major events donated £1500 to their chosen charities.
Epynt Motor Club’s D.G Jones Agri Powys Lanes and Old Forge Garage Mewla rallies joined together to donate some of the proceeds from the events to Wales Air Ambulance and SNAP Cymru,
SNAP Cymru makes a difference across Wales helping children and young people reach their potential by ensuring families have independent information, advice and support. You can find out more information on the charity at their website www.snapcymru.org. The D.G Jones Agri Powys Lanes Committee decided to donate £400 to the charity, which was greatly received by Tina Bufton the Powys and Ceredigion Family and Young Peoples Officer.
Tina said this donation is greatly received and will help children, young people and families reach their full potential by getting the information and advice they need.
Wales Air Ambulance is the national air ambulance charity for Wales, providing emergency air cover for those who face life-threatening illness or injuries. The D.G Jones Agri Powys Lanes Rally donated £600, and the Old Forge Garage Mewla Rally donated £500.
Ian Ford from Wales Air Ambulance received the donation, and said that this donation will help with the six million pounds required each year to operate the three helicopters, with two of the helicopters now being able to fly at night they will now be able to help more people, and every pound donated really does count.
Our thanks go out to Brian Dennis of the Old Forge Garage, Hay-On-Wye, and Gerwyn Jones of D.G Jones Agri, Cefn-gorwydd, without their generous donations these events would be unable to run.
The Old Forge Garage Mewla Rally will run over the Epynt Ranges on the 30th August 2015, with the D.G Jones Agri Powys Lanes running on the 7/8th November 2015 starting from the Royal Welsh Showground, Llanelwedd.
