The entry form can be downloaded from here The regulations can be downloaded from here Carmarthen and Epynt Motor Clubs are again co-promoting the Bill Gwynne Rallyschool Coracle Stages 2009. The rally will once again return to the Sweet Lamb Complex, with scrutineering, servicing and the finishing ceremony all situated within the popular Mid Wales test venue. We will be allowing pace notes this year. Whilst the event will run entirely on private land and cars will not need to be taxed for the event, a short portion of public highway will be used between the service area and the start and accordingly cars should be taxed in order to traverse this section. The intention is to again promote a compact, no frills event, offering approximately 40 loose surface stage miles with a central service area - thereby catering for those without a service crew and who may wish to leave their service vehicle in the service area for the duration of the rally. The format has proved popular with both competitors and spectators in the past and the rally earned the prestigious awards of best event in the 2003 and 2006 WAMC Clubmans Forestry Rally championship and also the 2003 ASWMC Loose Surface Stage Championship. Eventsigns Mewla Rally - News Bulletin #1Epynt Motor Club now has plans well underway for this years' rally which will be held on Sunday 30th August. The event will offer 90 tarmac stage miles with two of the stages twenty-one miles long to test even the best! The organisers, mindful of current financial situations and in an attempt to help and support competitors have decided to set this year’s entry fee at the same level as 2008 without reducing stage mileage. So for the third consecutive year, the entry fee will be held at £299. This year's Mewla will be a qualifying round of the following championships: Richard Egger Insurance MSA Asphalt Rally Championship; Richard Egger Insurance BTRDA Asphalt Rally Series; Legend Fires Epynt Challenge; Subaru WRC Spares Ltd ASWMC Sealed Surface Stage Rally Championship; Steve Harkness Competition Tyres Welsh Tarmacadam Rally Championship. Last years' EventSigns Mewla Rally was voted by championship competitors as the best event in the 2008 Epynt Challenge and the 2008 ASWMC Championship. To be part of this quality event download the regs here from Monday 22nd June. Autotest Round 2 - May 10th![]() Epynt Motor Club held their latest auto test courtesy of the Powell family at Graig Goch Farm, Newbridge on Wye. On a warm sunny day a number of old and new members turned out in an array of vehicles ranging from Subarus, Honda Pilots and standard production Corsas and Fiestas. After eight tests held on different surfaces ranging from grass, concrete and loose gravel the eventual winners were Craig Golder in the rear wheel drive category and Ben Davies winning the front wheel drive category. The novice category was won by Ryan Davies and the standard production winner was Donny Powell. The winners are pictured with their trophies supported by some of the other competitors who took part.
